 The Details

Great Learning Space
We've decided that you should be able to relax and feel at home while at our studios, so we've gone above and beyond to design a stylish and inviting space in both the lesson studios and our waiting room. Care for a cup of coffee, or need to check e-mail? Learn more about our studios and amenities at Iced Pita Music Lessons.

Great Instructors
You want a great instructor—warm, friendly, dedicated, and skilled—so, we've taken the time to get to know and screen every music teacher that we invite into our network. They are experienced and each is a welcome addition to the Iced Pita Music Lessons community.

Great Lessons
Not only do you get first-rate private music instruction, many of the music teachers in our network also offer small-group lessons, music classes, and, of course, supplemental events and activities such as recitals, Certificate of Merit participation...and even parties!

The Benefits of Music
By enrolling in music lessons, you (or your child) will experience all the great benefits of having music-making a part of your life. Some to keep in mind:

  • Music is a healthy way to explore our humanity and express our inner life.
  • Music is a great way to keep our brains in good shape.
  • Music education has been shown to increase IQ and improve development in young children. Kids who study music perform better throughout their academic careers.
  • Music makes us happy—it's fun!

Convenient location and Hours
The studios for your lessons are conveniently located on Thousand Oaks Blvd. at the 101/23 freeway interchange, behind Roxy's Deli and down the street from the Civic Arts Plaza, Keyboard Concepts, Instrumental Music, and Musician's Blvd. music stores.

Teachers schedule lessons within the following hours:

Monday-Friday: 10:00am-9:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-6:00pm
Sunday: Contact for availability

Because instructors at Iced Pita Music Lessons are independent and own/operate their own teaching studios, their rates may vary. Most instructors will offer weekly lessons in half-hour, 45-minute, and one-hour lengths and charge accordingly. It is best to contact instructors directly for all information on lesson costs and tuition.

Instructor Policies (cancellation, tuition, practice expectations)
While studio policies vary among instructors, here are some that are standard and what you should expect:

  • Cancellations usually need to be made 24-hours in advance of your lesson time, except in an emergency.
  • Some instructors offer make-up lessons for absences, some do not. Either way, payment is typically expected for all regularly scheduled lessons.
  • Many instructors bill tuition monthly and in advance.
  • Many instructors have a minimum practice requirement. You should be as committed to the learning process as your instructor is to teaching you.

Open Door Policy
The decision whether or not to sit in on your child's lessons is highly individual, but we feel it is important that your right to do so is always respected. That's why the instructors at Iced Pita Music Lessons maintain a strict Open Door Policy. You don't have to sit in (and sometimes it's best not to), but you ALWAYS have the option to do so.
